Job Description

We are looking for Project Manager – Cost Management (Project Cost Controller) for our client for their location in Lund.

The role is to support Project Management to maintain project costs, work breakdown structure, control account structure and associated techniques to appropriately monitor, control and report on delivery of the project to schedule and cost. The Cost Engineer will independently manage, interrogate, and maintain costs on designated work scopes with the ability to positively change and constantly strive for improvements

The Project Cost Controller will report functionally to the Project Control Manager centrally but will be deployed within a Sub-Project leading all Cost Management tasks.

 

 

Role and Responsibility:

  • Integrated Cost Management support to Project Management
  • Cost Engineer will be an integral part of project teams and work closely with other project controls disciplines to provide an effective and value-added service
  • Ownership of the Control Estimate and budget management within Sub Project
  • Collation of ACWP – Man Hours, Sub-Contracts, Plant & Materials
  • Prepare accruals and journals for areas of work – Commitment tracking / VOWD assessments
  • Organise and lead monthly EAC reviews for all designated Sub-Project
  • Support monthly earned value reports, variance analysis within Project Dashboards
  • Production of bottom up ETC forecasts Monthly
  • Management of the Sub-Project Control Accounts and CBS
  • Interface with Planner for the Sub-Project to ensure EAC/Schedule alignment.
  • Develop and maintain a fully robust EAC for all elements of Sub Project
  • Support Estimation of CCB proposals – Manage all Scope Changes and ensure they are included in ETC and appropriately forecast and aligned to schedule
  • Overview of monthly reporting cycle and adherence to quality management processes for EAC validation and schedule alignment.
  • Staffing plan reporting and forecasting for the Sub Project – Connection Control
  • Complete Earned Value Analysis, identify critical areas, trends and recommend recovery options, and contribute to clear and concise reporting
  • Maintain cost control databases for areas of work, and ensure validation and integrity of data

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 03 years of experience in the similar role.
  • Experience within major EPCC Projects – Relevant experience in Project Controls and Project Delivery and ability to share best practice.
  • High level understanding of Earned Value Management and associated analysis
  • Budget management, distribution, cost collection and forecasting experience
  • Detailed working proficiency using Ms. Excel
  • Experience of working with P6 Data
  • Experience in liaising with Finance Department and ERP / Accounting Systems
  • Experience working as part of a centralised PMO function
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and communication skills
  • Member of APM / ACostE
