Job Description

SEWS Approval Board is looking for a new member in the area of diagnostics and technical information.
We are located in both Gothenburg (Sweden) and Bangalore (India). This position is for one located in Gothenburg.

SEWS Approval Board is part of the Vehicle Data group at the Electrical & Electronics Architecture, Infrastructural and Vehicle Software Services within Vehicle Technology at Volvo Group Trucks Technology.
Our work involves performing technical reviews, user support as well as maintenance of process documentation related to the approval process.

Our typical focus areas are the documentation of diagnostic objects like parameters, on-vehicle tests and Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC). Our team supports all Volvo Group members like Trucks, Buses, Construction Equipment and Marine and Industrial applications (Penta) in this area.
Our aim is to ensure good data quality that is accurate and is easily understood as well as possible to maintain. This is done in order to achieve excellent diagnostics from a Volvo Group perspective.

Core Responsibilities
Perform technical reviews and suggest updates (texts and setup)
Support our users through the review process.
Support in upholding data quality.
Uphold existing guidelines.
Maintain and improve guidelines as well as our wiki site.
Continuously drive process and system improvements.
Hold training session for relevant users

Technical writing
Basic understanding of embedded software development process.
Basic insights in automotive diagnostics and communication protocols.
Be structured and have good organizational skills.
Excellent technical English language skills.

Must be able to work both individually and within a team.

Merital skills
B.Sc. in Mechatronic, Electronic or Computer Science or equivalent
Automotive industry product knowledge.
Experience within Volvo Group Trucks Technology.
Have a pedagogical approach.
Practical experience from embedded SW development and process.
Interest in written and spoken communication
