Detailed description of work task to be carried out

The Market abuse surveillance and Compliance – Investment Management teams within Group Compliance perform the surveillance of Trades, Orders and Communications for the client. Automated surveillance systems are implemented to detect market abuse in relation to inside trading and market manipulation. The 3rd party product for MAS connects is a SaaS product which requires daily files send as input. To produce these files we need to build & test the ETL where we read data from different sources (Kafka) or database links and transform the data based on the output csv file structure.

Python will be used to parse the data from Kafka. DataStage is used to transform the data based on logic to adhere to 3rd party product csv structure.

Description of knowledge and experience

Hands-on experience on DataStage & Python for transforming data (ETL)

Worked with Oracle SQL is a must.

Experience reading from sources with Kakfa/XML

Experience with JIRA & agile ways of working

Strong IT background with knowledge about full-stack, Kubernetes, Python DataStage, etc.

Good to have:

Prior experience in financial institutions, specifically in the trading area.

Knowledge of risk & compliance space.

Preferably knowledge of Actimize product & implementation
