Job Description

Within the Energy Controls group, we are now looking for a software developer to join our Android development team within Energy management.

The team is working with inhouse developed software, mainly using Java and Android SDK, but also some C++, linking the Energy management domain together with the HMI experience.

As an Android developer within Energy management, you will work with turning backend energy data into informative and intuitive graphs, meters and metrics according to the specified design language. The goal is to give the users insight into their energy consumption in an easy way, and coach them to lower it if wanted.

The team is responsible to test its own written software in rig and/or car before it is deployed to the Infotainment node, which is why it is important to apply a car-holistic approach and bring a hands-on mindset.

Your role and initial tasks will be based upon the competence and experience you bring into the team, but independently of your tasks you will need to collaborate with many different teams and individuals, both internal and external to the department.

Required competencies include:
–       BSc or MSc degree in engineering or computer science
–       3+ years experience of Java/Android development
–       Familiarity with Linux environments
–       Driver’s license (level B)

Meritorious competencies include:
–       C++ programming experience
–       Android Automotive
