Software Engineer

We are looking for an IIoT software engineer with strong experience on PTC Thingworx and IIoT consulting to lead deployment of IIoT in Volvo group. In Digital & IT organization, “IOT deliveries” department is the expertise D&IT department for Industrial IoT.

We manage:
– scaling IIoT in the group
For information, Trucks connectivity is out of our scope (managed by another organization)
– support / train Volvo group employees in the implementation of IIoT initiatives in factories
– development of main group IIoT solutions based on Thingworx
– exploration of future IIoT use case or capability

The assignment is to:
– lead some IoT initiatives or be part of some bigger IoT projects for any unit in our group (factories, Real estate, Engineering dpt,…)
– develop Thingworx applications with very high quality standard
– in an agile team, support and maintain several existing IOT applications running on Thingworx
– support / train employees in the implementation of IIoT initiatives in factories
– Recommend support factories which have ambitions to continue deployment of IIoT
– create & maintain some best practices guidelines on IIoT & Thingworx
– Be a leader in proposing new areas of exploration in IIoT

IIoT solution development on Thingworx: Several years’ experience on PTC Thingworx

IIoT consulting: Experience in recommending business (factories) on IIoT solutions to implement. Be a partner of business in definition of IIoT roadmap.

– software engineer:
– manage of all phases of IT solution development: requirement definition with customer + solution design + Development + tests+ Deployment
– manage fully (from requirement to implementation) some IoT initiatives on thingworx with implementation of high quality solutions
– work with architects for security area and architecture certifications
– knowledge of SCRUM agile framework
– soft skills:
– Autonomy / Leader (motivated to deliver solutions on time & with high quality) / collaboration with global teams
– Agile frameworks mindset: close collaboration with customers + involvement of customers in all solution development phases.

Experience: implementation of several IoT applications with Thingworx
