The section “Vehicle Emission and Climate Testing” is a section within the department “A&V Environments”. The main purpose is to operate and develop the department’s test beds in the areas:  Climate & Aero Testing, Chassis dyno Testing and Emission Testing.

 

The responsibility is to provide R&D with test beds and test equipment system in accordance with R&D needs with agreed solutions for capability and capacity over time. The group, Emission and Rig development, consists of project engineers, who’s main responsibility is to investigate ways to keep the labs test beds up to date with current and upcoming test needs and legislative demands. The other part is a group of service engineers responsible for service and maintenance of all emission measurement equipment within R&D Gothenburg.

 

Volvo Cars is now looking for a project engineer. This is a person with the ability to take a technical request, investigate this mainly by networking and seeking information from e.g test engineers, testbed operators, facility people and various suppliers and come up with a solution/s how to solve the problem.

 

Main responsibilities

Define and specify requirements for required equipment together with customers
To perform pre studies and alternative studies.
Present your findings to management groups and internal customers.
Represent the lab in implementation of approved projects.
Monitor the development and the delivery of these systems.
Required

University level of technical education or equivalent, preferably electrical orientation
Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
Meritorious
