Test Lead (Fixed transformation programme) Consumer IT is running the most important transformation program to move legacy IT stack of fixed product to modern IT stack to increase stability, reliability and overall performance of the system. The role of a Test Lead in a fixed transformation program is crucial to ensuring the successful implementation and delivery of the project. The Test Lead is responsible for overseeing the testing activities throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Develop and implement the overall test strategy and test plan for the fixed transformation program.
• Collaborate with Business, Agile team leaders, POs, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Define testing scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Identify test data and test environment needs and ensure right test data and environment are available for the team
• Lead and manage the QAs, ensuring that team members have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review progress and address issues.
• Oversee the execution of test cases and test scripts in accordance with the defined test plan.
• Monitor and report on test progress, defects, and other key metrics.
• Ensure that testing activities are completed on schedule
• Identify automation scope together with team
• Ensure automation is used to a large extend to drive speed and efficiency.
• Implement and enforce Consumer IT QA strategy
• Collaborate with other leads/QAs to ensure consistency in testing approaches and methodologies.
• Conduct reviews of test deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Identify and assess potential risks related to testing activities.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Communicate risks and mitigation plans to relevant stakeholders.
• Facilitate effective communication between the QAs and other project stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and resolution plans.
• Collaborate with business/PO to ensure alignment between testing efforts and business objectives.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation of test cases, test scripts, and test results.
• Create and maintain testing-related documentation such as test plans, test reports, and defect reports.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the testing lifecycle.
• Implement lessons learned from previous testing phases to enhance future testing activities.
- Proven experience as a Test Lead in large-scale transformation programs.
- Hands on experience in Jira/Confluence
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in english
- Leadership and team management experience.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Working experience in Agile/DevOps set up
- Understanding of CI/CD
- Understanding of different test automation frameworks
- AWS Cloud knowledge i.e. CloudWatch, Elastic Beanstalk
- Working knowledge of TCM tool I.e. TestFLO
- JMeter or other performance testing tool
- Telecom Experience
- ISTQB Certified (Test Manager)
