As a Project Manager at Sony’s Technology Promotion Department, you will lead complex multi-disciplinary projects for our business units.
You will manage cross-functional teams of engineers, technical writers and marketing communication members and closely collaborate with internal business unit to start up and deliver new programs, following the project from planning to execution phase. This includes: requirements capture, planning, managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. You’ll conduct analysis and make recommendations to provide the team with direction that will lead to achieving strategic business success. Your efforts will help drive awareness and adoption of Sony APIs and dev kits within the public and partner developer community. Ideally, you are an experienced Project Manager, you are curious about technology trends, strong at building teams in different geographical locations (Japan, US, UK, Sweden) and has solid stakeholder management skills. As a person, you thrive working in a rapid fast changing environment where there is little upper management guidance. You are proactive, a do-er who is not afraid to roll up your sleeves to learn what you need to know to provide solutions to others.

Project Management for one or several projects. Requires deep understanding of the technical aspects to avoid just being a coordinator but also a contributor.
Own the execution of a specific Technology Promotion Department project, through the entire lifecycle (incl. SDK Packaging, product marketing and business outreach), while aligning the team with all stakeholders
Develop, coordinate and report on realistic project plans and metrics.
Proactively identify opportunities and drive process improvement and standardization
Proactively identify upcoming risks, issues, and bottlenecks and resolve cross-team issues.
Create and manage project-related documentation and communications, including project plans, execution schedule, status updates.
Assess business impact, prioritize initiatives and quickly react to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Take strategic actions which align specific project activities with Sony’s technology and business directions
Develop and execute strategies to support new business models to create next-gen growth businesses
Technical Degree: Computer Science, Math or Engineering
Project management experience with leading cross-functional, multidisciplinary projects across different geographical locations
High level of initiative and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with clear expectations and highly responsive, internally and externally
Exhibits a track record of working with new technologies and professional passion for innovation
Strategic thinker with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, solve complex problems, and develop creative solutions
Experience with planning and executing the go-to-market strategy
Strong business acumen and advanced technologies industry knowledge, in the areas of semiconductors, artificial intelligence, robotics, etc.
