The Global Data Office is a recently established unit in Global IT with a direct link into the Digital, Data and IT Committee but acting as the counterpart for Line of Business.
The focus of the Global Data Office is to detail and execute the company’s Global Data Strategy to unlock the full potential of data across the enterprise.
Therefore, the Global Data Office is responsible to develop a Global Data Operating Model, a Global Data Governance framework to support Line of Business with the implementation of data governance as well as Data Foundation capabilities.
As it’s a new unit, the number of employees is growing continuously, aligned to the speed of maturity of the data capabilities within the organisation.
We are looking for an experienced finance controller to support the Programme Management Office (PMO) in the Global Data Office, managing the department financials and project cost centers i.e., managing budgets and actual spend, managing contracts with implementation partners, managing agreements and cost for consultants, and supporting the overall financial processes and reporting requirements in close collaboration with our finance partner.
Activities and work description
Responsible for managing financials across the Global Data Office
Monthly reporting on budget vs actuals on cost centers
Managing depreciation of software licenses
Managing implementation partner contracts and consultant time registration
Monthly accruals (monthly recurring balance of actuals vs budget)
Intercompany invoicing for internal cost transfers
Establishing recurring financial reporting processes
Supporting implementation of Lean Portfolio Management (LPM)
Reporting on budget and spend per Epic and Strategic Theme
Experience with financial management and controlling 5+ years
Experience with SAP reporting
Experience with handling of depreciations and accruals
Experience with financial reporting features
Experience with graphical presentation of financials
Experience with the pharma industry (optional)
Experience with Data Management as a domain area (optional)
Experience with working remotely and with global teams
Excellent communication skills (English)
Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work independently
