Senior Embedded Software Integration Engineer

Our team at Powertrain Electrics & Electronics develops embedded solutions for full electric/hybrid powertrains, hydrogen technologies, engines, and transmissions for the complete Volvo Group. In practice, we develop the next-generation embedded software for all our propulsion in-house control systems.
We are looking for an Experienced Embedded Software Engineer with the ambition to join a dynamic group that has to develop the Software Architecture, design the software, and the tool framework to support Volvo Powertrain Basic SW (Physical signals conversion, Actuator control, Diagnostic, Scheduling, Power Up/Down…). Almost all platform SW is developed in-house except the OS and COM-stack, … which are sourced Autosar components.

The group is organized in a cross-functional way according to Agile/SCRUM principles; the work is distributed among the stakeholders and covers requirement breakdown, system/function design, s/w

The main Activities are
Embedded Software development
Develop Drivers and framework to support our Electrical Platform development.
Design Software including Architectural Design in C code.
Verification of defined technical solutions.
Build Software/Architectural Design Documentation and specifications.
Support technical Embedded Software Investigations

Top Skills
At least 3 years of embedded software development working experience.
Hands-on experience in Embedded Software development and previous experience documented.
Experience in target CPUs like Infineon Aurix TriCore 2:nd and 1:st gen is a merit.
Master’s degree or similar in Embedded Software development with interest and good
Knowledge of electronics. Knowledge in automatics engineering and/or mechatronics is a plus.
Knowledge of programming embedded real-time systems in C.
Competence in embedded software architecture, design, and verification.
Knowledge of Tools like the Lauterbach T32 debugger, Oscilloscopes, and Robot Framework
Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
The work requires skills in both teamwork and individual work, autonomy, and the ability to work in a team are key.
Open-minded and proactive, structured and a drive to take the lead is an advantage

Merital
Knowledge of ISO26262 is a merit.
Knowledge of ISO14229 is a merit.
Previous Experience in Volvo Powertrain software development will be highly valued.
