About the position
We are migrating our existing data warehouse solution to our new Data Management Platform, to further enhance our capabilities to support Volvo Cars to become a data driven company. You will be a key role in identifying necessary program/project actions to be taken, and to take us through all the different program streams. You will be a part of a transformation team, so we will do this together! What you will do
You will work with management, subject matter experts, architects and other technical staff to research information particular to the data management area to get insights in the “as-is” picture.
Furthermore, you will together with the product manager create a strategic roadmap and a very detailed transformation plan on how to take us to the next level, the “to-be” state.
What is required to decommission our current solution, and what steps/time/resources/efforts are needed to get us there? Do we have the right pre-requisites to do so? These are areas we want you to map out for us. You will be the person who creates, updates and maintains the overall program and project documentation.
Create, update and maintain program and project plans
Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes
Creating detailed activity/checklist in order to follow up with each project stream
Coordinate project management activities, resources, and information
Assign tasks to internal teams and follow up on progress
Monitor project progress and flag for issues that arise
Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
Work with the Product Manager and other team members to eliminate blockers
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
Create informative and professional power point presentations for management and decision forums
Compose and communicate important meeting notes
Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Planner
Hands-on experience with project management tools
Ability to easily and quickly create professional and informative power point slides
BSc in Business Administration or other equivalent training
PMP / PRINCE2 certification is a plus
Knowledge in Data Management is a plus
