Junior Studio Engineer

In your role as a Junior Studio Engineer, you will assist in developing high-fidelity interaction software and hardware prototypes for the verification of Interaction concepts in collaboration with a UX designer. Your work will range across test cars, production cars, and rigs.
You will contribute to the development of software and hardware prototype solutions for user interfaces in our concept cars.
This role involves collaboration with other engineering departments within Volvo and external suppliers.
As a Junior Studio Engineer, you will manage your assigned tasks and prioritize your deliveries under guidance.

Responsibilities
Assist in developing HMI solutions to align with Design intentions.
Support and maintain the software/hardware in test cars, focusing on user experience.
Contribute to the exploration of new technical solutions to support Design intentions.
Provide support to the UX design organization with technical information and insights.

Top Skills
B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
Knowledge in C/C++ and Python programming.
Basic understanding of React/JavaScript.
Familiarity with working and configuring in a Linux Environment.
Basic understanding of cross-application communication solutions (such as CAN, LIN, FLEXRAY, MQTT).
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
