A large regional organisation required specialist BI and data engineering capability to develop and adapt its information warehouse while maintaining performance, traceability and security.
The environment required more than conventional reporting. Information needed to be modelled, governed and exposed in a way that could support downstream services, analytics and continued development.
A virtualised data layer also introduced architectural demands around access, maintainability and the relationship between underlying sources and consuming applications.
