Commercial Project Manager – Payments / Fintech
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Commercial Project Manager to join a Small/Medium Business Project Management Office in Stockholm.
The assignment focuses on project delivery within payments and fintech, with responsibility for driving a Backbook Migration and Backoffice Convergence project, or a subset of features within a larger program. The role requires ensuring that tasks and risks are properly identified, managed and driven to completion.
As Project Manager, you will organize and lead planning activities resulting in the creation of a release or project roadmap, ensuring that all teams align with enterprise planning expectations. You will partner closely with Product Managers and Product Development teams to execute and deliver projects in line with product vision, project goals, objectives and timelines.
You will also work closely with commercial teams together with Product and Engineering Managers to align migration plans and execute according to the agreed plan. The role includes creating and managing clear gating criteria with business partners for Go/No-go decisions, driving resolution of project-level issues and monitoring the health of project delivery.
Responsibilities include tracking project-level status, risks, issues and dependencies, proactively addressing delivery team impediments and resolving roadblocks to enable successful project execution.

Required skills and experience:
- Strong experience managing commercial or go-to-market workstreams for large-scale software, platform or customer migration programs.
- Proven ability to operate in a highly matrixed, multi-location environment.
- Experience collaborating across business, customer-facing and technology teams.
- Experience working alongside Product and Engineering teams without directly owning product delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Experience partnering with Sales, Customer Support, Marketing and Web teams.
- Strong customer-centric mindset.
- Ability to translate delivery timelines into business and customer-facing plans.
- Solid understanding of Agile delivery concepts.
- Experience aligning commercial plans with iterative product releases.
- Experience creating commercial artifacts such as readiness checklists, enablement plans, playbooks, customer communication plans and executive status reports.
